You might have thought this could never happen, but once again, we have a dynamite program in place for the 2017 INANE conference in Denver, Colorado – Thursday, August 3 – Saturday, August 5th! The venue is the historic Brown Palace Hotel in downtown Denver. The conference begins with a lunch and tour of the Cherokee Ranch and Castle (included in your registration), followed by general and breakout sessions that offer ample opportunities to network, catch up with old friends and meet new ones, and most important – learn about the latest challenges and issues in the world of nursing journal publishing!
So take a few minutes to explore each of the pages of this site to learn all the details, and sign up to follow this blog to receive the latest conference information throughout the coming year. Most important, get your registration in early for both the conference and the hotel! Here are important things to notice:
- Early Bird registration of $395 is available through January 6th at midnight (Mountain Standard Time). After January 6th, rates go up, so register early and save!
- The conference rate for the hotel, $189 (plus 14.75% sales and occupancy tax), is available from July 30 – August 8 as long as rooms are available, so book early!
- The optional Brown Palace Afternoon Tea at the close of the conference on Saturday is very popular, so make your reservation early to be sure you can get a table!
The Keynote and General Session speakers have been set, as you can see on the Program Page. What fills in the program are the Breakout and Poster Sessions and for these, we rely on the expertise of our very own INANE members. The Call for Abstracts is open now–abstracts will be accepted until January 15, 2017. Start thinking about what you can share with your colleagues and submit an abstract for presentation. The final, complete program will be announced in February, 2017.
Once again, in memory of our dear friend, Suzanne Smith, we will be awarding four scholarships that will allow new editors (or those with an interest in editing) to attend INANE 2017 as a Mentoring Editor Awardee. Applications are now being accepted–click here to learn more about the awards program. Self-nominations as well as nominations by colleagues are both allowed.
On behalf of the hosts and planning committee, we look forward to seeing everyone in Denver!
